About Me

I love a nice cuppa tea, reading, traveling, my hubs, our dog Willow, and anything related to Beauty & the Beast.  I blog here at The Borrowed Rose about Beauty & the Beast fan fiction and retellings.  I'm glad you're here!

I am not a literary guru, expert or editor.  I also did not train in creative writing - I don't even think I took a writing class in college.  So, you won't find reviews or critiques on this site.  What I do love - reading.  I've been reading since I was a kiddo, and these days I read all genres.  If I have a few weekend hours, I'll lean towards a dreamy, paranormal book.  But I also love the gritty ones.  Books are gifts, and I have a great appreciation for all authors.

If you have a Beauty and the Beast tale you'd like me to read and include on The Borrowed Rose, ping me at theborrowedrose@gmail.com.

Responsibility Warning:  I read all varieties of Beauty & the Beast renditions, be they sci fi dystopian tales, very racy don't show your grandmother jaunts (mothers definitely read that sh*t - don't let them fool you), classic fairytales geared to a younger audience, or contemporary stories.  I love and read them all.  I'll be sure to alert you to the genre of a retelling so that you'll know what to expect.

You love fairy tales, too, I can tell.  We should connect:

Not ready to connect just yet?  I get it.  This is a good place to begin on the site:  Fan Fiction List.
